August 31, 2006 – Delta Sigma Phi recently announced the 2005-06 winners of two major awards – the E. Allen James Outstanding Undergraduate Award, and the Pyramid of Excellence Outstanding Chapter Awards. E. Allen James Award Winner The Fraternity is pleased to announce that Stan Hill, Georgia Tech ’02, has been selected as the 2006 E. Allen James Outstanding Undergraduate Award recipient. Stan is a 2006 graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Material Science and Engineering. While an undergraduate member of the Fraternity, Hill served as the Alpha Gamma Chapter’s Treasurer, Sergeant-at-Arms, and Recruitment Chairman. In addition, he is a graduate of the Mu Class of the Delta Sigma Phi Leadership Institute, and is currently serving on the Fraternity’s Ritual Review Committee being headed by Grand Council member Chris Northern. Hill served in many leadership positions on campus, including as Treasurer of the Georgia Tech Executive Roundtable, which is one of the university’s top campus organizations, and as a Connect With Tech Host, where he served as an ambassador for the university with visiting potential students. He has recently started law school at Vanderbilt University as a Chancellors Scholar, and resides in Nashville, TN. Pyramid of Excellence The Fraternity is also pleased to announce that the following chapters have been named the 2006 Pyramid of Excellence Outstanding Chapter Award winners. Alpha Lambda Chapter at Millikin University Alpha Upsilon Chapter at Kansas State University Beta Mu Chapter at Transylvania University Gamma Chi Chapter at Drexel University Theta Mu Chapter at the University of Kentucky The Pyramid of Excellence Awards recognize chapters of the Fraternity for exemplary performance in all areas of fraternity operations, management and leadership. The Fraternity would like to congratulate Brother Hill and all of the Pyramid of Excellence chapters on their exemplary work and for receiving these prestigious awards.
