Brothers from Alpha Upsilon attended the Biennial National Convention held in St. Louis July, 22 - 25th.

Alpha Upsilon was recognized for Excellence In Recruitment. In the 2008-2009 school year, 26 members were initiated into Delta Sigma Phi making it one of the top chapters in the Fraternity.

Several brothers received the Order of Sphinx Award, which is given biennially to those undergraduates nominated by their chapters or a national officer for outstanding contributions as an undergraduate to their campuses, chapters and the Fraternity. Brothers receiving the award include Paul Kauffman '05, Mike Nolan '05, and Wayne Stoskopf '06.

Donnie Hampton '06 was awarded one of the first McKee Scholarships. The scholarships provided through the generosity of Hensel and Jeanette McKee to further their desire to assist young men in pursing undergraduate and post graduate studies. Brother McKee was initiated into the Alpha Omega chapter at the University of Washington in 1930.

Other brothers in attendance from Alpha Upsilon include Loren Mall '58, Leon Taylor, Dave Hoffman '05, Alex Suñé '06, Matt Castro '08.
