The Alpha Upsilon Chapter at Kansas State University has been busy this spring, raking in both chapter and individual awards, continuing their tradition of leadership and excellence on campus in Manhattan.

Chapter Recognition

The chapter won the Ecolympics competition for the "Greenest Fraternity on Campus". According to Chapter President Russell Propp, "It was a huge honor, because the selection process consisted of 14 guidelines ranging from most energy saved, to recycling programs used, etcetera."

Individual Member Accomplishments

  • Wayne Stoskopf was elected student body vice president.
  • Adam Tank was selected as Attorney General on campus for the second year in a row.
  • Travis Stuewe was selected as Director of Judicial Affairs for the campus' Interfraternity Council.
  • Russell Propp, Matt Marchesini, Michael Boeck, Alex Edwards, Ryan Willcott, and New Member Connor Hartpence were all selected as new Wildcat Warm-Up Counselors for the new student orientation program. They make up six of the 22 members of this group of students.
  • Paul Mintner, was selected to be an Orientation and Enrollment leader this summer.
  • Tank, MintnerStoskopf, and Donnie Hampton, were selected for the Blue Key National Senior Honorary.
  • Casey Dwyer was selected to be one of 13 new members in Student Alumni Board, a student organization that works with the K-State Alumni Association's programming. 
  • Jordan Bluhm was selected as Johnson County Ambassador by the K-State Office of Admissions.
  • A number of brothers were elected to be senators in the Student Governing Association, including Kyle Reynolds, Andrew Wagner, Ryan Willcott, Russell Buchanan, and Tanner Banion.
