STUDENT HOMECOMING COMMITTEE MEMBERS SELECTED TO ASSIST K-STATE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION WITH 2008 HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES Twelve Kansas State University students have been selected to serve on the 2008 Homecoming Student Committee. They join 15 returning students who will be organizing Homecoming Week, which will be Oct. 19-25 and culminate with the football game against the University of Oklahoma Oct. 25. The new members were selected by an application process. The committee also includes seven appointed positions: the two K-State Student Ambassadors; two Greek Affairs representatives; one representative from Jardine Terrace Apartments; and two K-State Association of Residence Halls representatives. The Homecoming Student Committee is responsible for selecting and planning all homecoming events. The committee creates the rules and guidelines for the student competitions, promotes the week and provides staffing for all events. "The committee has already started working on this year's homecoming activities," said Andrea Bryant Gladin, associate director of alumni programs for the K-State Alumni Association and All-University Homecoming chair. "These students were selected because they are such a motivated and creative group of individuals." Delta Sigs selected as members of the 2008 K-State Homecoming Student Committee include: Mike Nolan, senior in political science, Deerfield, Interfraternity Council representative, son of Migel and Stephanie Nolan. Eric Strom, senior in management, Winfield, returning member, son of Steve and Kathy Strom. Alejandro Sune, senior in management information systems, Wichita, returning member, son of Alejandro and Marianela Sune.
