Clifford F. Veatch

LENEXA --- Clifford F. Veatch, 37, Lenexa, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at his home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1966, in Elkhart, and grew up in Manhattan, where he graduated from high school and Kansas State University. He earned a juris doctorate from The University of Kansas in 1992.

Mr. Veatch was an estate planning attorney and principal of Veatch Law Offices.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys, K-State Alumni Association and was an Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America.

Cliff is survived by his wife of 13 years, Julie M. Veatch, of the home; his parents, Chuck and Fran Veatch, Manhattan; grandmother, Elsie Spangler, Salina; two brothers, Matt, and his wife, Shelli Veatch, Lenexa, and Laird, and his wife, Brandy Veatch, Columbia, Mo.; his best friends, Dan, and his wife, Carol Horsch, Overland Park; two nephews and four nieces.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Doug Girod and Heather at the ENT Clinic at The University of Kansas Hospital who always made Cliff feel like he was their most important patient.

The funeral liturgy will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 13615 W. 92nd, Lenexa. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan. Rosary services will begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, where visitation will follow until 8 p.m.

For his love of books, the family suggests memorial contributions to Literacy of Kansas City, 205 W. 65th St., Kansas City, Mo., 64113- 1704, in lieu of flowers.
